You don't need to know wine to enjoy Tuscany. You don't need to understand tannins, memorize vintages, or know the difference between French and Slovenian oak. And you certainly don't need to swirl your glass while pretending you can smell something you can't. But knowing just a little about Tuscan wine before you arrive can completely change the experience.
