The landscape is wide open and cinematic. Unlike parts of Chianti, where roads twist through dense woods and narrow valleys, Val d’Orcia feels vast. Hills roll gently into one another. Farmhouses stand alone on ridgelines. Cypress trees mark driveways like exclamation points. Around sunset, the entire valley turns gold, pink, and silver. This is the kind of place where the best travel moments often happen between destinations.

Instead, we found behind the rows of cypress trees and vineyard, rosemary growing beside the stone walkway, an elderly gentleman pruning vines that his grandfather had planted decades earlier, and children laughing somewhere behind the farmhouse. We found individual Villas, Pools, common areas, dinning terraces, rolling vista the our vacation slowed down.
