Pianifica il tuo itinerario tra le cantine della Toscana
Approccio con ancoraggi e estremità
L'efficienza è tutto
Recommend Anchor and Ends wineries for your itinerary. What do I mean:
Anchor, the winery you really want to got to, the one you want the full tour, or wine tasting lunch as this will be where you spend 2-3hrs
Ends: your first winery tasting , no tours or full experiences and your last winery tasting.
These 3 will be the ones you Book, to give you peace of mind… then.. fill in with Walk ins.
Fill in with “walk in” tasting. You don’t have to drink at everyone, some are just beautiful just to see.
Remember if you are staying within each zone for the day, there are 10 plus wineries with 10Km (6miles)
Keeping with in your zone make for very efficient day, even to the extremes All of this guides wineries of Tuscany from Northern Chiant to Montplcino is 125km (77mile)
The idea that you cant just walk in…is technically true… if you want a tour, wine pairing lunch, vertical tastings, Gand Cru, truffle hunting, cooking class, etc as these all take time to plan and are based on limited resources and seating space… Many large estates have tasting rooms or shops (like a bar) that you can have very informal samples from you glass to 5… the others especially in shoulder season, when they are not as busy, walking in “being very polite” and just ask can we sample some of your wines, and if they are overwhelmed with a class or setting one up, its always sure… honestly, probably because of my beautiful wife, we’ve never been told no, unless there’s just no one available.
Focus on Towns: Wineries within towns like Montepulciano or San Gimignano are often easier for spontaneous visits than remote estates. Go Early/Off-Season: Weekday mornings or shoulder seasons increase your chances.
Slow and Leasure
3 wineries
2 wineries and lunch in city
Been there, done that
5 wineries of just tastings or with lunch in city lunch.
Fast and furious
Custer of 10 wineries
Cluster areas
Honestly once you get the tour and full wine explanation experience, they don’t different much from one to the other, except family history, so once that’s out of the way, you can do more of the just a sampling while enjoying terrace views and the beauty of the winery.
Recommend Sharing a tasting with your significant other, to minimize over drinking while still sampling some wines.
Recommend you stay in one of the 6 Tuscany areas, and preferably a winery, we prefer southern Chianti as you are centralized with in 30-40 min of the 150 wineries in this guide.
